How are mining fees distributed among participants?

While reading the Wasabi documentation, I came across this line:

“The coordinator creates and sends a credential back to Alice, which has the same amount as the input minus fees.”

That’s the only place where fees are mentioned in the “Wasabi protocol step-by-step” section, so I just want to confirm my understanding:

Does this mean that fees are charged entirely at the input registration stage, meaning that each participant pays a share of the mining fees based only on the quantity of inputs registered by him, ignoring the number of outputs?

Or, more probable, is the documentation missing a fee discount also during the output registration phase?

The documentation is missing the fee during the output registration phase. The rule is:

• you register an input; you pay for that input
• you register an output; you pay for that output

In this way participants pay for what they use.
