Idea
Summary
It would be useful to have an admin-configurable announcement popup or dialog in the Web UI that can be shown to users on login.
Use case
Admins sometimes need an easy way to communicate important information directly to users, for example:
- maintenance announcements
- legal disclaimers
- security notices
- policy changes
- onboarding information
Proposal
Provide a feature that allows admins to:
- create and edit a message shown in the Web UI on login
- enable or disable the message at any time
- reuse it for temporary announcements, such as maintenance windows
- optionally show it only once, or again after the content has changed
Expected behavior
- showing the popup on first login
- allowing admins to update the content later
- re-displaying the popup when a new announcement is published
- optionally requiring acknowledgment before dismissing it
Why this would be useful
This would give admins a simple and visible way to communicate important platform-wide information directly inside the product, instead of relying on external channels.
