Deleting links to files crashes the app

Hi,
I recently reorganized the file structure inside my media folder, and was hoping to simply update the links to the files. However I saw there was no such option - to which no problem, I'll just manually correct the links, I thought, but there's no such option either. So lastly I thought, okay, perhaps I should just manually delete the links and re-add the links since I'm not too far into the metadata process. however deleting the links seems to crash the app. I am not sure if I need to mention any other information to replicate the issue but if so please let me know. This was both deleting links to files in sessions and in the people tab (the consent file).
