Supposedly broken

When running the interface and clicking on a random book title, the browser console just outputs errors from Googel Maps (no API key), next to others involving undefined. Supposedly, this is just broken nowadays?

The message is about Google changing the policy for the usage of the Maps API, requiring to include the file using a Key.
BTW, development in this repository is discontinued, the activity had some progress here [1], and there is a live instance with Herodotous' Histories here [2].
It shows the problem with the API key, that can be fixed by changing the call to the api in the index.html.
