Deprecation warnings for preg_split() and libxml_disable_entity_loader()

These functions are no longer supported in the latest version of PHP I noticed the following warnings:
Deprecated: preg_split(): Passing null to parameter #3
Deprecated: libxml_disable_entity_loader()
