Why was collections chosen and not categories? I think they are both needed in an e-commerce application. Form example, in a boutique, category can be used for women/ tops / tees and collections can be used for grouping products based on seasons eg. christmas collection, outdoor collection etc. I think categories are important in any ecommerce application.
