Need help flashing hitachi SPX-WFG02 (RTL8710B) - process stuck (Solved using v4.7)

Hi I'm very new to this.
I'm trying to flash an RTL8710BN based card, which is a SPX-WFG02 module used to add wifi to my AC.

I'm following this tutorial, that I know works fro other people.

My problem :

• for now I'm only trying to get the chip info by doing : ltchiptool flash info ambz
• I've soldered dupont wire to the board and tried the procedure.
• I double checked that I'm connecting RX to TX and TX to RX on the FTL232 board
• It seems that I've managed to enter download mode but the process is stuck at Transmission successful (ACK received)
• no matter how long I wait, nothing happen

when I DON'T do the download procedure, I get :

so I guess I do achieve to enter download mode.

• I've plugged the card back to the AC, and it's working fine, so I didn't burn it,
• I don't have an external power supply, so i'm using the FTL to power the board with 3.3V
• When I only plug the power (no RX TX) to the FTL232, I got a flashing error meaning the card can't communicate with the AC, so I can properly power the card.
• But I'm talking to someone that did the process on this very same card without an external power supply, and he managed to do it.

What could be wrong ?
I have 2 guesses :

• My soldering is bad either on TX or RX or both
• my FTL card is not supported or the power supply is not enough ?

Please enable debug logging using -vvv flags. This will print much more information, but might help find out what goes wrong.

• i'm on windows 11
• I installed the tool with powershell using pip, and running it with powershell aswell
• the version used is : ltchiptool v4.13.0

Okay, well I managed to do it using the 4.7 GUI version.
it did not have the flash info option (to check if everything was OK) but I could dump the firmware and write a new espHome Uf2.

working like a charm now <3

I'll reopen this issue, since this is something I still can't reproduce and is definitely an issue on certain chips.
