Description
WikiMed by Kiwix v3.7.6 contains the August 2025 WikiMed by Kiwix package wikipedia_en_medicine_maxi_2025-08.zim, together with the changes in the CHANGELOG. The main feature of this release is experimental support for macOS.
The 64bit Electron app versions use Electron v29.3.3 (supporting modern Windows, Linux and macOS, including ARM), while the Windows 7 32bit versions use v22.3.25, (supporting Win 7/8/8.1). The Linux 32bit AppImage is based on Electron v18.3.15. The Linux packages have been tested on Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora and OpenSUSE.
For the Linux on ARM package, simply use the ARM64 AppImage portable file. For Windows on ARM, use the Web installer, and it should detect and download the correct package for your architecture. For macOS, choose the ARM package for M1/M2/M3 (Apple Silicon), and the plain mac package for Intel. Follow instructions to unblock the experimental, unsigned macOS packages.
