Scrum Report (Jerome Ting - CSID: k3a0b)

1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

I primarily focused on fixing up some bugs from a UI standpoint, specifically in the search population. This required custom scroll bar UI, some modifications in styling, as well as rearranging how the elements were nested (via mateiral UI)

2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

A major issue when updating the UI for bugs was ensuring everything looked cohesive. Some of the options for the out of the box components from material UIs were not sufficient and thus I had to look into custom options.

3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?

For the next progress, we plan to review and map out the strengths of our project, as well as plan what our final project will look like. We will also fix any outstanding bugs, complete any "todos", and look into deployment (and any other remaining tasks for progress 5)

Scrum Update - Richard Chen (n4z2o)

1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
Did some planning for the User Auth & Public Playlists stretch goals. Planning doc here: #33

2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
Mainly trying to balance how much rework would need to be done for the implementation of user auth, attaching the user id's to relevant data. We decided we would only gate playlist behind user auth and leave the main functionality which is recommending songs open to all without login.

3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
Integration of AuthO and public playlists into the app from front to backend. Also look into deployment onto a service like heroku or vercel

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
I worked on fixing some bugs involving likes from the GloballySearched component, and created a popup Snackbar to show that the sharing button had resulted in copying the Spotify external link to the user's clipboard.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
A major challenge was just understanding some other components that others had built a bit better, before figuring out a solution for something I'm debugging. It's important to understand the flow of data and the logic in the existing codebase, before figuring out how to best approach a problem.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
I plan to fix some additional bugs affecting the UI, like bugs, clean up/re-review the todos, and also look into deployment options.

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

I worked on helping brainstorm what other features can be done for our stretch goals.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

No real issues for this report as the MongoDB progress was completed in advance.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?

Helping expand the project and work on any features that our team finds meaningful.

Scrum Update - Parmvir Shergill (CSID: q3l6c)

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
I looked into different implementations for the public playlists and simply looked over the already written code to understand it better.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
I ran into a few cases where I couldn't exactly follow the code and see how it was connected. I did some extra reading and have a better understanding of how thunks work now.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
For the upcoming progress report, we will be deciding as a group what we want to work on from our stretch requirements. Also, we will look into how we want to showcase the major feature of our project on the demo day.
