Do you have an idea for the logo, if it should represent something, some colors, etc. ? I am not the best drawer but could try something.

We briefly talked about it just now and don't have any concrete plans for the logo. One thing to keep in mind is that the main use-case will be the favicon, i.e. it needs to be recognizable when it's very small/low resolution.

Our ideas would be to have the logo be rather minimalist and to make it represent something related to viewing a document, or it could also be something with the letters "v" or "viv". If you have some other ideas we're definitely open to them as well, feel free to get creative with it!☺️

I did some sketches by hand. The idea would be a diagonal viv in some flashy color with some document in the background.
I'm a bit worried when it's very small. But I think I might get it to work. (Worse case scenario, I remove all the black bars and just put a big viv inside the document.)

There are some options and I want to know which you prefere:

• which one of the two types of document you like
• which i in both viv you prefere
• which color you want to color with viv. (I think it should be flashy.)
• do you like small black rectangle in the bottom right corner? It's intended to look like a signature at the bottom of a document, but I not very convinced of how it came out.

Obviously, the final result will be done from my computer and a lot more polished.
If you really don't like the idea, please say so. I'm eager for constructive critism and, as it is your own project, I want a logo that you like.

Hmm.. sure, looks good

Something that looks realistic could be to take some generic "document" or "file" svg like this:

and try to slap those things in there. But keep in mind how tiny the icon will be.

Not sure about color at this point.

Hey @tomasriveral thanks for creating those drafts, they look really cool already!

I agree that the left version with the flatter document and lowercase viv looks better. I also like that it's diagonal (if you can fit it into the low resolution) and all the black bars including the bottom right one. For the color I'd vote for something purple or pink, what do you think @tuurep ?

I tried multiple things

My first idea definatly didn't rendered good in small resolution.

Adding an outline to the text helped a bit

I removed the black bars

I really like when I made bigger the text, overflowing the file.

I tried multiple color ways. I'm not really convinced by any of them. But I do think that it is just a question of finding the right color way, looking good and with enought contrast to see at lower resolution.

I even tried making viv even bigger.

In my opinion this looks best:

The outline is not visible against a dark background (i.e. using a dark theme) but I guess that's a problem with favicons in general.

If going for the overflowing text, could consider removing the top-right paper fold? Looks quite confusing in some cases.
