What happened

I tried to import several different Wan 2.2 5B and 14B (A14B) t2v, i2v, ti2v models (including high-noise and low-noise .safetensors for A14B) into InvokeAI from my local SSD folder using the model manager; but they all failed to import correctly with the message "unidentified model..." These models include "wanDamme-RapidWan2.2-5B-ti2v-4step" "Wan2.2-A14B-SmoothMix i2v and t2v high and low noise" "Wan2.2-A14B-Exitium-Victrix high and low noise" and "Wan2.2-A14B-Bernini-R high and low noise" - they all failed to import in the model manager. These models are available on CivitAI and/or on Huggingface. The models are not corrupted nor bad, they all work just fine in ComfyUI and Wan2GP without any issue. This is not the first time InvokeAI model manager failed in importing models, it happens quite frequently - perhaps it being extremely restrictive to externally imported models and/or being designed poorly in model scanning and identifying correctly. I hope you can figure out why the model manager fails to import perfectly good Wan 2.2 models.

The model manager, however, correctly imported the associated umt5-text encoder and both the Wan VAEs (for 5B, 14B) without any problem. But, without the models available for selection, I cannot evaluate the Wan 2.2 functionality in InvokeAI.

What you expected to happen

idk

How to reproduce the problem

Download the mentioned models from CivitAI and Huggingface and try importing locally (inplace install) into the model manager.
