Explicitly marked OBSOLETE in MdpGlobals.pm. It is also in https://github.com/hathitrust/pt/blob/7bbc8f0a9eca912eab8e357abb8608a4f9852169/lib/PTGlobals.pm#L196 and should be checked in that context.
