test.py works with Firefox instead of Chrome as mentioned in documentation, so it should be refactored before using it, however -
overall multiple errors and unnecessary check for "https:// " which prevents using it with http or local repos ( why not? )
IMHO better to mark it is abandoned to not confuse good people
