New API login

Hi,
I've read that there is a new way to log in with the new release where some API key needs to be generated, but I can not find any info/settings where that is to be done.
I can still login on the web interface with user/pass but Symfonium won't let me log in anymore.

Where do we need to generate that API key and where does it need to be pasted?

Once logged on the web interface, you need to go in your settings page and hit "Generate" on the Subsonic API key entry, and save.
You can then copy/paste this key and use it as the password to authenticate from Symfonium.

Thanks, that was the first place I looked but couldn't find anything regarding that, am I missing something?

That's correct I haven't updated the container properly sorry.
However I am getting this error now, what does this mean? (EDIT: checked the ports of course)

I've done some testing and found a strange issue presumably with my user. Here's what I did:

• created a new test user named "test"
• upon logging in I noticed the API key was already existing (dotted out like ****). This user can log in Into Symfonium (& substreamer for example for that matter).
• logging back to my main user I see that the API key is not 'generated' and whenever I relog the line is always blank unlike the test users.

Why could that be?
Easiest for me would be to just create another user but the user ratings don't carry over to the new user :(

I just checked and you are right. Creating an API key when creating a new user was supposed to be done only for the "demo" account, not for regular users, but I forgot to add the proper condition. Hopefully, that's not big deal, will fix this for the next release!

Anyway, you should be able to generate an API key for your user, did you hit the generate button and then the "save" button at the bottom of the settings page? This save button is too close to the passwords fields, but it does apply to the whole fields.
