Description
Summary
Use AI to analyze lab results and lifestyle context, then suggest supplements or medication adjustments — visualized directly on the chart timeline.
Concept
The supplement/medication layer already exists on charts. This feature would add an AI-powered recommendation engine that:
- Analyzes current lab values, trends, and lifestyle context cards
- Suggests supplements based on deficiencies or suboptimal markers (e.g., low ferritin -> iron + vitamin C, poor sleep + low magnesium -> magnesium glycinate)
- Shows projected impact on the chart timeline ("if you start X, expect Y in 8-12 weeks")
- Accounts for interactions between supplements and medications
- Respects the user's interpretive lens (e.g., a Kruse-informed lens would prioritize different interventions than conventional)
Open Questions
- How to present AI suggestions without crossing into medical advice territory (disclaimers, evidence grading)
- Should suggestions be one-time or continuously updated as new labs come in?
- How to handle supplement-drug interactions safely
- Evidence sourcing — can we link to PubMed/OpenAlex for each recommendation?
- Integration with the existing supplement editor (auto-add suggested supplements?)
