New Version Release on the cards? #393

Hello Devs/Contributors,
Hope everyone is doing good.
Its been more than 6 years since the 'v0.4' release.
With respect to the bug fixes (also, the newer changes are not present in the PyPi), I believe that a new version (v0.5) would greatly benefit the community of users and developers.
Also, new release would help in aligning the project with the latest changes in Python libraries and its dependencies.

Suggestions:
- Updating the README may be a good idea (with/without the version release).
- Adding a Security file for the project would be helpful.
- Updating the image in DockerHub.
