[Enhancement] No checkmark for sort menu and sort preferance is not retained after restart

Issue/Description:
The sort menu in Tasks does not correctly reflect the active sort option using a checkmark. Additionally, the selected sort option is not retained after restarting the application and resets to the default.

This results in both incorrect visual feedback in the menu bar and loss of user preference across sessions.

Expected Behavior:

• The currently active sort option should be indicated with a checkmark in the menu
• The selected sort option should be persisted and restored after app restart

Other Notes:
Add sorting for items in the navbar or option to tweak it. Currently it seems random.
Perhaps move the items sort to the canvas itself alongside the search button & keep the file menu sort option for navbar.
