Road names are visible, which lets the cheaters guess the location easily with a simple google search

The previous method we used to hide road labels is not allowed under Google's Terms of Service. In order to keep WorldGuessr online and avoid any restrictions, I had to remove the road label hiding feature for now.

I understand this affects gameplay, especially for competitive players, and I know this is disappointing.,

What happens next: I am actively working on finding a long term solution. Ideally, I want to reintroduce road label hiding in a way that fully complies with Google policies. One possibility is using ad revenue to cover official API usage costs, similar to how some other geo games handle it. This change is not permanent, and I will keep everyone updated as I test different approaches. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
