Weird. Try using PuTTY with port forwarding enabled. I think it's SSH > Tunnels.
Maybe VSCode is smart enough to detect another Code instance... @jsjoeio any insights? I just delivered an alternative.

I think we need more information. Can you explain what you're trying to do and how you're using code-server?

He's trying to use Remote SSH of normie VS Code to try connecting to a Linux machine, probably WSL but is failing. If he tries via PuTTY, he could obtain a good connection.
