Here's what changed in PKMDS this week — a packed update with new features, visual improvements, and a wave of bug fixes!

New Features

• Spinda spot pattern dialog: You can now view and edit Spinda's unique spot pattern directly in the editor, complete with an editable hex field and an accurate preview.
• Info popovers: Hovering over moves, items, abilities, and balls throughout the editor now shows a helpful info popover with descriptions, flags, secondary effects, priority, and more.
• Move secondary effects in UI: Move descriptions now include details like stat changes, status conditions, flinch chance, drain, and multi-hit info.
• Ability info in Moves tab: Ability descriptions are now shown alongside move info in the Moves tab.
• Type-colored TM and HM sprites: The Bag tab now shows type-colored TM disc and HM sprites, with correct resolution across all generations.
• Origin mark sprite: The Met tab now displays the origin mark sprite for your Pokémon.
• Trainer sync: Changing your trainer's name, ID, or gender now automatically updates all matching Pokémon in your save file, including Pokémon you've received (HT sync). A loading overlay is shown during the operation.
• OS drag-and-drop: You can now drag Pokémon files out of the app to your desktop, and drop external files directly onto the editor.
• PID generator consolidated: The PID generator buttons have been merged into a single button with constraint checkboxes for a cleaner UI.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a crash when clearing a move in Legends: Arceus – Z-A saves.
• Fixed a blank Trainer tab for Pokémon Emerald saves (including Japanese versions).
• Fixed trainer gender changes causing an invisible player model or corrupted appearance in Sun/Moon, Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and Sword/Shield.
• Fixed badges not appearing in the Trainer tab for Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl saves.
• Fixed Unova badge display.
• Fixed iOS save file exports — files now use the correct extension and download properly on iOS devices (including Manic Emu round-trips preserving the .3ds.save extension).
• Fixed horizontal scrolling issues in the Legality Report, Encounter DB, and Bag tabs on mobile screens.
• Fixed layout on iPad where some elements were cut off at the bottom.
• Fixed pager visibility and filter button clipping in several tabs.
• Fixed the Held Item field so it can now be cleared.
• Fixed a search showing nothing instead of a "No Pokémon match" message.

Improvements

• Added a trash bytes auto-fixer and a manual trash bytes editor dialog in the Legality tab — useful for fixing certain legality issues related to name encoding.
• Badge display now shows badge names and sprites, with a responsive grid that adapts to screen size.
• Bug report form improvements: name and email are now required, email is validated, and the form detects if you're loading a save state (and hints at the correct file to use).
• PKHeX.Core updated to version 26.3.20.
