Unable to compile

I tried to commpile the program, but it returns me an error message.

«make: *** No target specified and no makefile found. Stopping.»

It seems to be a problem in the code.

did you run ./configure before make ?

can you tell exact procedure you followed?
did you download the whole zip file?
and can you tell me your build system configuration?
