Question - Splunk

Not sure where to post this, but does anyone know if Splunk can be used as a back end over ELK?

I've never used Splunk before. ELK is tight integrated with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch so if Splunk supports the same API it shouldn't be a problem to write data there.
