A few months ago, a new beta test of livestream indicators on profile pictures was pushed to a limited rollout of users on Bluesky (as mentioned here). This feature is a great USP for Bluesky over other platforms for streamers and I have been eagerly looking forward to this being rolled out more in time, but as of right now I've seen little, if any, mention of it at all.
Some stream.place streams have been showing indicators which is great to see (especially with further AT integration), but I feel it is a lost opportunity to have any wider usage of streamers that are either using other platforms (like YouTube or Twitch) that are not major broadcasters. I am not quite sure what technical limitations there are to wider rollouts as it doesn't seem to be any more data used than any other AT feature, but I do feel that a further push of this feature would allow creators, both big and small, to have greater opportunity to promote their livestreams.
Even if not a full release quite yet, I do think it'd be helpful to at least have a sign-up list for people to request they be allowed the option.
