The process does not seem to be running Python 3.7 or newer. Might open a bug.

Whatever problem you encountered here, I suspect it's not related to free-threading. You get an error saying "The process does not seem to be running Python 3.7 or newer." when memray attach successfully attaches to the remote process, but fails to find the address of the PyMem_Calloc. There's no reason that ought to fail in a free-threading Python; free-threading builds still have PyMem_Calloc.
