[Bug]: [In memory git] - Error pops up when we try to change the default branch in a git connected package

Description

When I am in master branch and try to change the default branch to the feature branch, I see an internal server error.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Create a git connected package
2. Create a feature branch.
3. Go back to master branch
4. Change the default branch through settings to the feature branch
5. Note that an error pops up
   At times we can continue work with the app, at times we cannot edit the app
