with Tahoe 26.4 the "battery charging off" doesnt actually do anything. not sure if it broke it or not.

@anarchy89 how long did you wait after executing battery charging off ? It takes about a minute or so for macos battery menubar icon to reflect the new charging status. And one more thing. battery charging off is kind of a low-level commands. If you have a battery maintain ... process running, it can undo your battery charging off once in a minute or so. So, for you it may look like battery charging off does not work.
Use ps aux | grep battery to see if any battery maintain ... processes are running. battery maintain stop may not help you to stop all these processes because we have a related bug. So you may need to execute pkill -f "/usr/local/bin/battery.*|/usr/local/co\.palokaj\.battery/battery.*". Only after this it makes sense to run battery charging off because you can control charging without interference.

Not exactly - you can't maintain a range - if you have it set to 80%, then as soon as you go below 79% and plug back in, it charges back to 80%, whereas with this app, you can have it set to maintain 70-80%, meaning, drop to 69% before you allow charging back up to 80% again.

However, what I've found is that if I disable this new 26.4 feature, this battery app won't prevent charging all the way to 100% sometimes (like when shutting down, IIRC).
