Sir I tried the use for my localhost but I couldn't handle it. Can you explain it to me how I'm gonna use this project for my localhost.

Hey, what did you try so far? Did you try running the docker-compose stack, or are you trying to run everything directly on the host by running the backend and frontend separately?

It would be very helpful to know what exactly you did so far, and what exactly didn't work for you.

My adventure went like this;

I'm trying to use everything directly on my localhost without docker like backend and frontend separately

I cloned the project;
git clone https://github.com/ZitaneLabs/hdrop.git

and first thing I did, I tried the understand hdrop-web-next .env file and hdrop-server .env file and renamed .env.example to .env

after that, I went through hdrop-web-next folder and I run these commands;
1- npm install
2- npm run build

after that, I went through hdrop main folder and I run these commands;
1- cargo build --release
2- go through hdrop-db
2.1 - cargo add diesel
2.2 - diesel migration run --database-url postgres://username-i-filled:password-i-filled@localhost:5432/hdrop
3- went through main folder
3.1 cargo run --release -p hdrop-server
3.2 went through hdrop-web-next folder and run, npm run start

Everything was fine up to this point. After uploading my file by connecting to http://localhost:3000/, I could download it from the link it created for me in private mode.

The problem started when I entered my IPv4 address, 192.168.1.169, instead of localhost because I wanted to download it from my phone

But this problem only occurs at 192.168.1.169, meaning there is no problem if I type localhost. If I type localhost, I can't access it from my phone this time. I just can't figure it out

It seems like the frontend is trying to talk to localhost instead of 192.168.1.169. Did you adjust the NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL environment variable to correctly point to http://192.168.1.169:8080?

The server listens on 0.0.0.0 by default, so that shouldn't be the problem.

If they're both running on the same machine, then yes. That should be correct.

Hmm honestly I'm not sure why that is. In your screenshot, it looked like the web frontend made a request to localhost, but it should make the request to the host specified in NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL. Maybe there's an issue in the code, but I'd be surprised if that were the case.

The code would suggest that everything is correct. I can only imagine that some env variables aren't working correctly. Could you try renaming your .env file in hdrop-web-next to .env.local?

I solved the err's and tried again .env.local and both localhost and ipv4 address and it's same err
