Bad way: Fork it, host it locally, edit AmiiboAPI URL, build Emuiibo locally.

Update: the amiibo.json COULD work for amiibo generation, but it is currently structured as a JSONObject and as of my knowledge, needs to be structured as a JSONArray, as the emuiigen log reports:Exception reading local API JSON: org.json.JSONException: JSONObject["amiibo"] is not a JSONArray (class org.json.JSONObject). So about converting it, there are tools for this, and I will look into it and share if i have success.

Also, the amiibo.json needs to be renamed to api.json and be placed in the same folder as emuiigen.jar, this is just the way emuiigen expects it, or else it won't recognize it.

Attention all!

I was able to reconstruct the api.json (amiibo.json) with a few python scripts and make it in JSONArray format with images for each amiibo. I succesfully generated the 932 amiibo that were listed in the original amiibo.json list from AMIIBOAPI.

this is the working list, it's all in one category called unknown., I am working on this, just needs some time. Just place it in the same folder emuiigen.jar is in.

Attention all!

I was able to reconstruct the api.json (amiibo.json) with a few python scripts and make it in JSONArray format with image urls for each amiibo. I succesfully generated the 932 amiibo that were listed in the original amiibo.json file.

api.json this is the working file, just place it in the same folder emuiigen.jar is in.

are you using the latest Java development kit? Java 8 won't work. Try to get the latest JDK 25

if you still have problems, send a screenshot of the log that appears in shell after you have let emuiigen run for a solid 30 secs

AmiiboAPI is oficially down, when a proper continuation pops up I'll update emuiigen to make use of it, for now you guys will have to stick to placing the last API info (the api.json file others have mentioned) along with the JAR file

I updated the api.json so every amiibo is in their correct series. This is good if you want to only generate amiibos from a certain game/series and don't want any of the other ones.

I was. Trying it a few more times made it work somehow. No idea why. Also thanks for the updated JSON.

Thanks for the update, but now when you try to generate a virtual amiibo and save it, the application closes automatically without showing any error.
