How to make scene switching instant (so viewers can't screenshot entire app)

Background

I started streaming and loved that I found your plugin. However it has one major limitation I don't get how to avoid.

Right now when I stream, viewers before changing the scenes like so:

Viewers will be able to briefly see the application before the scene will hide things.

So that means if I show my password manager, viewers can pause, take screenshot and take passwords etc.

That means I can't rely on the switch. Is it possible to somehow to avoid this. Make the switch transition instant somehow or not leak any data from apps I don't want to leak?

Have a way to make transitions so instant that no data from the app I don't want streamed to internet be shared.

I am now trying to do something super hacky like this:

that is I manually before switching the app force checking that the app can't be opened without private scene being active

this way I can avoid this security risk with the lag of default behavior

but above is still failing for me too. would be amazing if there was a way to avoid showing the blocked out ever, would be life changing

The screenshot you are sharing is from the "Automatic Scene Switcher" from OBS.
This is different to the "Advanced Scene Switcher" plugin.

I can't really tell what the issue with the script is as I don't know what switch-obs-scene.sh does.

Have you tried using hotkeys instead?
For what I can tell the intention of the script seems to be "switch scenes, then wait a seconds, finally open up your password manager".
If that is the case then you can set up a macro like this to achieve the desired effect:

What I want to achieve now are 2 things. First thing is that I want automatic system I have now with this:

Right now the transition is not instant.

Can see on this stream for example. When I switch to some private app.

You can see glimpse of screen that gets opened and only then it switches scene.

Second thing I am trying to figure out now. Right now the above system I have now whilst not perfect it works (even though its not secure).

I want also to have ability to fully switch and force my Black .. scene:

i.e. issue I have now is that if I turn to scene myself with hotkey like so:

The SceneSwitcher plugin will still run so I will go away from my private scene.

I need a way to go to private scene and force stop SceneSwitcher working.

When next time I switch the scene to Full screen, it will turn on SceneSwitcher.

I need some pragmatic way to control SceneSwitcher and make it work fast essentially.

If anything is unclear I am happy to provide more details or video.

Just to reiterate:
The screenshot you shared is not from this plugin.
This is a different tool entirely (with an unfortunately very similar name).

It should be possible to configure this with the plugin from this git repo, but not with tool you have shared in your screenshots.

Just to mention it since you seem to do quite a bit of coding yourself, even though it is not really related to this plugin at all:
OBS also offers an websocket API which you should be able to interact with from scripts.

Thank you lots. Will study this more and try. I am building a kind of restream alternative as open code and a tool on top of OBS so thinking of embedding above functionality into the tool nicely.
