Status update Bogazici University (BOUN)

I would like to update the simulation status for our institution. Bogazici University (BOUN) is planning to run RegCM5 over the CORDEX Central Asia (Region 8) domain at 12 km horizontal resolution, driven by ERA-Interim boundary conditions.

Thanks! Do you have a tentative completion date? Is it RegCM5-0 as used in CORDEX-CORE simulations? or are you using a different configuration?

Our version is RegCM version 5 SVN Revision: 4.7.1-1935-g8527a, but we would like to update it to RegCM5-0. I'm asking just to be sure: is this the right version https://zenodo.org/records/17348623? The tentative completion date is 6 months.

@graziano-giuliani should be able to help here. It is not only about the version used, but also the configuration (physical parameterizations used, etc). Different configurations must have different source_id

@tugbaozturkt: the model version used by the ICTP in the simulation is the CORDEX-5 branch in the ICTP RegCM repository.

The branch in the link has been frozen and receives only minimal bug fixing related to pre and post processing.
The resolution used is 12 km, and the vertical grid setting has been tuned for some domains: it needs adjusting over the Andes, Himalayas. The physical parameterizations have not been changed from the table, but for some domain they have been adapted (changing thresholds constants). I will share with you by email the settings we have used in the WAS domain which may help compare.
