Description
In the Axon basement, the lectern is in the centre(-ish) of the room, and so a tutor at the lectern is surrounded by students. As such, when calling out a student's name, the tutor has to quickly look 360° for that student. This is further complicated by a pillar hiding some seats of one of the tables. The room has a capacity of approximately 100 students.
A solution for this would be to have a field that the student can fill out when they log in for their table number. In the Axon basement, each table has a number, written on the walls. With this, the tutor need only look in the direction of that table when calling out a student. Furthermore, the tutor will know to look around the pillar if the student is at the specific hidden table. The Axon basement is also a rather long room, so if tutors know to look in the far corner, they will more quickly be able to identify students from tables there.
This feature could be toggleable by course/room, and so not affect sessions that don't require this feature. The table that a student enters should expire fairly quickly, so that a student sitting at one table one week and another table the next will not have tutors looking at their old table for them.
