Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]
During very quiet periods in the help centre or in other pracs I can assume, tutors are working on other parts of the course like answering ed discussion or maybe even doing personal uni work. When it's really quiet, we keep on having to check the queue, (either changing screens or twisting my neck to look at the projector) to see if someone has entered every few minutes. It cannot be expected that we glue our eyes to the screen waiting for students to enter, as at times we can go an hour or so without a single question.
1: this is annoying as it makes you lose train of thought in the moment
2: Students who entered an empty queue still has to wait up to a minute or so, waiting for a tutor to check the queue
Describe the solution you'd like
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
A very simple sound alert like a ding, when a student enters the queue. That's it. very simple.
And it has to be toggleable, as you wouldn't want to have the sound alert on during busy periods, so by default it should be toggled off.
Several of the ENGG1001 tutors agree with this
Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
Couldn't think of any alternatives.
