Fetch trees for failing downloads

A smallish (but likely growing) number of studies is too big to be serialized into NeXML before connection timeout, which means that the download fails. However, this is usually because there are too many characters (not taxa), so it should be possible to fetch the trees for the study and skip over the matrices.
