tl;dr: Not solved. Can't find a PDF with a link to the right page. The 2026 poverty guidelines seem to be here

The Affidavit of Indigency PDF is out of date, so we have to do this more carefully to integrate the new PDF with the interview. But first we have to find a PDF with a working link. I thought this was the new Affidavit of Indigency PDF. This search is how I found the link to the form's PDF. It has a different link to the poverty guidelines, which also doesn't work. This one, like ours, says it was created in 2013. The affidavit with supplement linked by the search was created in 2020 and also has the wrong link to the poverty guidelines.

Next attempt to find accurate affidavit of indegency:
Same search page, lower down ("Indigency (waiver of court fees)" link) > "Indigency (waiver of court fees)" > "Court forms for indigency" > PDF

Next attempt:
Same search ("Apply for indigency (waiver of court fees and costs)" link) > "Apply for indigency (waiver of court fees and costs)" (which links to our form, btw!) > same PDF with incorrect link

From what I can tell, the 2026 poverty guidelines seem to be here. I got that link from this search for the poverty guidelines.

I don't think we need to update the form itself. It doesn't seem that there are any substantive differences. The trial court had some interactive PDF tool they were using for a while. I think it's probably that--they always had two links for each PDF to handle incompatible client devices.

We could try reporting the broken link to mass.gov, and perhaps they will replace the link with an updated PDF, since it's still listed on their official court forms.

I can try reaching out to someone in the trial court directly.

I asked someone in the court who recommended we change our interview, but they didn't clarify yet if it's OK for us to edit the PDF that's filed with the court.
