Where do we collect announcements?

I have mixed feelings about it. Maybe we can use the same repository of the website (not sure if we have a website).

My biggest complain about Slack is that it make harder for people to join. :-( I'm +1 if people want to use Gitter since it can be associated with GitHub organisation and anyone is free to join. Of course you can always have a private chat for the owners.

I think there are some great ideas here for optimizing the gitpage. It sounds like rgaiacs you have significant expertise here- would you be prepared to be involved in moving the page forwards at all? If so, maybe we could discuss this in the August meeting?
