I've never worked with Lazarus, though this takes time. I try to change your memory layout in such a way, that the system is always populated with 512 KByte ROM (at the start) and 512 KByte RAM (the upper 512 KByte) and the MMU is doing the rest. This arrangement is pretty popular these days (with RC2014 running everywhere :-)).
