Possible bug with rpi zero 2 and wifi?

I've been getting some dropped wifi on the zero 2s when loaded with the new os. 

Investigation:
 - I could connect ethernet and ssh in
 - `nmcli d` said that wifi was disconnected
 - tried to `nmcli con up preconfigured`, but this failed, logs here: https://chatgpt.com/share/e/691204ab-a460-8003-856c-48e7c3ec274a
 - a reboot always fixes it
