I'm working on orobot.io, a catalog for 3D-printable open-source robots with an interactive STL viewer and discovery for people who want to actually build them — not just read about them.
Stanford Doggo deserves a proper page there. It's one of the clearest examples of a research-grade legged robot that a non-institutional builder could actually attempt — the ICRA backflip demo still gets cited in YouTube comments on every quadruped video. Even with the project formally EOL, there's a generation of people who learned legged robotics partly because Doggo existed and was MIT-licensed with real documentation.
The one issue: the repo doesn't seem to have printable STL files checked in — just the Fusion files in DoggoHardware/FullCAD. If there's a release or Google Drive with the print-ready STLs, a link in the README would unblock us (and probably the 749 forks who hit the same wall).
I also saw the Pupper v3 references — when that hardware is ready for public release, we'd want to feature it on orobot.io from day one. The combination of a $1k BOM, RL policy, and Raspberry Pi 5 is exactly where the community is heading.
No action needed on your end — just wanted to flag the interest and ask about the STL files. Congrats on the work.
