I'm also having this issue. Docstrange web page reports me as having 300 out of 500 free credits left, and I verified that I was using the right API key but I keep getting this error too.

Same symptom, different root cause than "actually out of quota" — found by comparing the pip package's behavior against a direct curl.

The installed docstrange package (1.1.5, pip) posts to a stale endpoint:

That endpoint returns Rate limit exceeded (10k/month). Please try again later. even with a fresh, valid API key that has plenty of quota left on the dashboard (confirms what @nathanhennig reported above — 300/500 credits left, still errors).

Calling the current sync endpoint directly with the same key works cleanly:

Also worth noting: on some calls the pip package raised a 401 Unauthorized from the same (old) endpoint with the same key, rather than the 429/rate-limit message — inconsistent behavior against a stale route, not something client-side code can work around other than bypassing the package's built-in HTTP call.

Looks like cloud_processor.py just needs its api_url (and possibly request body — the working endpoint uses output_format instead of output_type as the form field, and returns a differently-shaped JSON payload: result.markdown.content) updated to match the current API.
