Describe the bug
It seems that one can not select a mesh prim when clicking an assigned point-instanced mesh.
Why is that bad? Having only point instanced meshes as replacements added to a mesh and deleting the original prim leaves the mesh completely unselect able.
How do you reproduce the bug?
- get a fully point instanced mesh, eg: instanced_fence.zip
- add to any mesh as replacement
- try to select the instanced mesh via left clicking in the viewport
What is the expected behavior?
Clicking any part of the instanced mesh should select either the instanced mesh or the original prim.
The only workaround for me is to assign a custom tag so that I can select the instanced mesh via the stage manager.
