Unable to set auto-launch flag

When SteamVR starts, a notification pops up saying Revive couldn't set auto-launch flag and it says to report it here.

Versions (please complete the following information):

• Revive: Latest
• SteamVR: Latest

I'm also finding this issue, beginning around May 27th 2025. Any time Revive launches, it appears.

I'm using Revive as the bridge between SteamVR and Condor 3 (gliding simulator.)

It appears that the "Revive injection" trick many Condor VR users have been using has introduced some kind of bug into the (memory flow?) that's making SteamVR screw up head tracking, eg. "display error" and the frame buffer.

Any thoughts or insights would be greatly welcomed!

Update: the only software that's changed for me is a recent .NET update pushed by Windows Update. It appears to be a 4.8.x update that might be interfering with DMA and the frame buffer. I'm rolling it back right now and hopefully it'll be the culprit that's messing with Revive. I'll try to keep this thread updated with my findings.

I can confirm that the .NET 4.8.x update was responsible for my Revive issues! I simply rolled back to before the Windows Update and all was fixed. I hope this helps someone else! 😊
