Loom Video Script - Natural Conversational Version

Target Duration: 2-3 minutes
Style: Conversational, friendly, professional

Opening (0:00-0:20)

"Hi Maverick, thanks for taking the time to review my application. I wanted to create a quick video walkthrough to show you exactly how my platform integrates with the Etsy API, since you mentioned you couldn't access the site directly.

So, let me start by showing you what we're working with here."

[Show homepage briefly]

"This is a fully functional e-commerce store - we sell products, manage inventory, handle orders, all the standard e-commerce stuff. But where it gets interesting is the admin side, where we've built comprehensive Etsy integration."

[Navigate to admin]

Main Demo (0:20-2:30)

"Alright, so here's the admin dashboard. You can see we have an Etsy tab right here in the sidebar - that's where all the magic happens."

[Click Etsy tab]

"So when sellers come to this section, they can do a few really powerful things. First, they can connect their Etsy shop - just click this button, and it goes through the standard Etsy OAuth flow. Super secure, follows all the best practices."

[Point to Connect button]

"Once connected, sellers get these sync controls. They can pull in all their Etsy listings, import their orders, and keep inventory levels synced automatically. Everything respects Etsy's rate limits, of course."

[Gesture to sync buttons]

"Now, here's something I think is really cool - sellers can also push products the other way. So if they have products in our system, they can sync them directly to Etsy. Create new listings, update existing ones, or remove them. It's a two-way street."

[Point to Product Sync section]

"And then there's this CSV export feature. Sellers can export their products in Etsy's format - filter by category, choose how many to export, and boom, they've got a file ready for Etsy's bulk import tools. Super handy for managing large catalogs."

[Show CSV export options]

"One thing I want to make sure you see - we've got the Etsy trademark disclaimer right here, prominently displayed, just like the API terms require. Compliance is really important to us."

[Highlight disclaimer]

"Let me show you how this actually works with real products..."

[Navigate to Products tab]

"So here are the products in the system. Sellers can manage them here, and then use all those Etsy features we just saw to sync them over. It creates this really smooth workflow for managing multiple sales channels."

[Return to Etsy tab]

Closing (2:30-2:50)

"So that's the integration in a nutshell. We're using the Etsy API to help sellers manage their shops more efficiently - syncing products, orders, inventory, all while staying fully compliant with Etsy's terms and rate limits.

I think this really demonstrates the value we're providing to sellers, and I hope this gives you a clear picture of how we're using the API. If you have any questions or need more details, I'm happy to provide them.

Thanks again for your time!"

Alternative Shorter Version (if you want to keep it under 2 minutes)

Quick Version Script:

"Hi Maverick, thanks for reviewing my application. Let me show you the Etsy integration.

[Show homepage → admin → Etsy tab]

Here's the admin dashboard with our Etsy integration. Sellers can connect their shops via OAuth, sync products and orders bidirectionally, manage inventory, and export to CSV for bulk operations.

[Point to each feature]

We display the required trademark disclaimer and follow all Etsy API best practices, including rate limiting.

[Show disclaimer]

This helps sellers manage their Etsy presence alongside their own platform. The API integration is essential for these features.

Thanks for your time - happy to answer any questions!"

Recording Tips:

Before Recording:

  • Close unnecessary tabs/applications
  • Clear browser cache if needed
  • Test your microphone
  • Have the script open in another window
  • Practice the navigation path once

During Recording:

  • Speak naturally - like you're explaining to a colleague
  • Don't worry about perfect wording - authenticity matters
  • Use pauses effectively (they're not awkward, they're professional)
  • Let your cursor movements guide the viewer's eye
  • If you stumble, pause, take a breath, continue

After Recording:

  • Watch it back before sending
  • Trim any long pauses or mistakes
  • Add captions if possible (Loom can auto-generate)
  • Include timestamps in description for key sections

What Makes a Great Loom:

  • Clear audio (most important!)
  • Smooth cursor movements
  • Logical flow from feature to feature
  • Natural, conversational tone
  • Not too fast, not too slow
  • Shows actual functionality, not just static screens
