Cursor lagging with Infoview open and fast scrolling

When I have the infoview open in a relatively large file, and I hold down J or K to quickly scroll through lines, the cursor scrolling seems to hitch as the infoview tries to display information for every line under the cursor. If I close the infoview I do not experience this behavior.

Is there any debouncing in the infoview to prevent it from updating for every line under rapid scrolling?

We used to have some debouncing but it was only half-implemented (and even our cancellation support for outstanding requests must have a small issue as I notice requests survive past document changes every so often) -- so it was removed.

Scrolling around in that way is somewhat anti-vim :), can I cheekily say "don't do the thing that hurts" :) -- but yeah I'm not against adding support back again or certainly to reviewing a PR for it, it's just lower priority relative to other stuff (at the moment relative to async rendering support).

Understandable in both cases! It can definitely be anti-vim to do it this way, but it is very useful as a navigation technique from time to time!

I doubt I've got time for a PR at the moment, but it is perhaps true that async rendering support will alleviate some of the same pain point. Cheers for the reply regardless! ^^

Oh -- I also forgot to mention or ask just how slow is slow -- if you have satellite.nvim installed, if you :SatelliteDisable, does it go away? Satellite has some performance issue which I've certainly noticed.

I do indeed have satellite.nvim installed, but the behavior I am seeing—often going as low as 5 updates per second—is invariant to whether it is enabled or not best I can tell.
