Describe the bug

The run button is always disabled

To Reproduce

1. Install the chrome extension at https://github.com/GoogleChrome/chrome-extensions-samples/tree/main/functional-samples/ai.gemini-on-device
2. Turn the extension on
3. Type something
4. 'Run' button remains disabled.

Expected behavior
Run button should not be disabled.

Are there any errors in the console when you inspect the sidepanel? Just tested and I couldn't reproduce it.

Sidenote: I just created a PR to migrate the samples to the latest API version (most notably the removal of temp and topk), but this shouldn't affect the basic sample #1684

I did not build it. just unpacked the zip and loaded.
