DOCKER_REGISTRY value

Thanks for putting this all together! Are the images pushed to a registry? If so, what can we set DOCKER_REGISTRY to for the compose file to work?

You are welcome of course! Right now, there is no image system, Jumpsuit is currently fixing the Docker system (apparently some file linking issues?), but can you explain to me shortly how that does work?

I lack docker knowledge honestly, so I am open to any suggestions.

I see. It looks like the docker system in the code was based on when all the files were in different locations. I fixed it up so everything is referenced correctly, but the problem is still in the build. The current build system doesn't work with the file locations found in docker. So we need a different project file to build in docker. It could work. I don't want to edit the current project files because then the local build will fail.

Docker is used so that you build an entire system image for each executable created. It helps you run it anywhere. When something is made that works, you can publish the image to a repository. That allows anyone to just download and run the images (called containers) without having to compile it themselves.

I guess the question I have is how do you run this if it isn't using docker compose?

I run it via visual studio's own docker plug-in.

Yeah, docker should honestly be done from scratch here. You think you can find a way to fix it without breaking program compile?
