Audio cracking despite having drift correction on.

I've run into the audio cracking problem that's described in the FAQ. I believe I followed the instructions to the letter: setting up a multi-output device, with drift correction turned on for blackhole.

This persists across homebrew and package installs, as well as both the 2ch and 16ch versions.

What triggers this is erratic. Sometimes it comes minutes in, sometimes it's ok for 40 minutes. I can't consistently reproduce the trigger conditions, but it's always inevitable.

I'm using this with Sunshine for audio streaming.

Unless you can reproduce without use of an aggregate or multi-output there is nothing I can do. Even with drift correction enabled aggregates are known to be problematic. Try testing with BlackHole only. Devin

I’ll test more with blackhole only. I did run into the same static issue with that previously, hence giving the aggregate and multi-output a shot.

But I totally understand the lack of reproducibility making it difficult to troubleshoot from your end. Will update if I learn anything more.

In Console search for coreaudiod and see if anything relevant comes up. The usual culprit is audio overload. Devin
