Go to definition doesn't work with C# netstandard project

I have a sample console app created by VS2026 CombinedConsole.zip
The application uses c# net standard 2.0 library. The solution works correctly with VS2026. When I press F12 (Go to definition) it says "No definition found"

Thanks for the repro project and log. I have shipped a fix in VS Code Marketplace version 0.1.18.

The root cause was that the VB compilation could resolve Utils.GetMessage() from the referenced C# netstandard2.0 project, but Roslyn exposed that symbol to the VB side as a metadata symbol. The language server's Go to Definition handler only returned direct source-declaration locations, so it reported no definition even though the C# project was loaded. The fix maps metadata symbols back to source declarations in loaded projects, including the referenced C# project.

I verified this against the attached CombinedConsole sample after restore: loading Console\CoreConsole2\CoreConsole2.slnx and pressing F12 on Utils.GetMessage() now resolves to lib\MyLib\Utils.cs at the GetMessage declaration.

The Marketplace publish completed for win32-x64, linux-x64, darwin-x64, and darwin-arm64 as version 0.1.18. Marketplace indexing can take a few minutes to show the new version everywhere.
