how to understand the function of _interpolate(self,p, relativePoint)  in tagFamilie.py

Hi,
   as descripted in title, there is complex computation in _interpolation() function. i knew the aim is to scale the point coordinates, but confued by the computation processing. would you mind to explain briefly?
