If I remember correctly there was a really good reason on why we had to disable it, but I don't remember what it was or if there was any change since then.

I didn't know that color scheme affects transparency as I see only 3 (RGB?) color values in that file, and I was going to ask why Dolphin titlebar background color becomes different from toolbar when I enable transparency for menu and sidebar. Then I tried another color scheme, i.e. from the upcoming Ocean design, and this fixed the background color inconsistency issue, although I think introduced some other minor issues (e.g. tabs, checkboxes, buttons becoming too flat). It seems I need to do some extra work on this aspect of theming, as well.
It seems it would be great if Darkly also includes a configurable Colors component in addition to the Application Style and Window Decorations.

I don't like Kvantum, I couldn't get a desired result globally although I tried many themes.
I think it's better to follow the path of Darkly and/or Klassy for KDE Plasma, which is apparently more complicated, but more promising.
I tried a color scheme mentioned somewhere here, but it resulted in virtually full transparency in the main window pane of Dolphin (and none in side and information panels), which is not desirable for many wallpapers.
I then tried tweaking the color scheme I saw here: https://github.com/Bali10050/Darkly/blob/main/colors/Darkly.colors
I think I've made some good progress to create a good one for my current dark global theme (Breeze Dark and Darkly plus some customization).
I'm not satisfied very much with the appearance of inactive/disabled button.
LibreOffice Writer background color is odd (accent color!), but I've found a workaround by ticking "use bitmap for application background" and replacing one of the stock bitmaps with a custom one that more looks like my chosen background color.
There's also the unsolved problem of getting full Dolphin window translucency (with different subtle levels for the panels and main pane) while enabling "Tint all colors with accent color", but I'm also happy with a little translucency in panels only.

I named this customized Darkly colors scheme as Darkly Dark:-)

This is great! Far beyond my expectations. I'm just afraid it will be so difficult to achieve that we'll have to wait long until it's completed. I was just expecting a decent color scheme better in line with the Darkly application style, at least for the short term.

The tab bar in dolphin in this case has a wrong color to the right of the tabs. The active tab is not transparent as seen in the image as well. Lastly, the separator between the tabbar and the main content doesn't have transparency. The separator to the left that separates the sidebar from the view is also opaque.

Here, you can also see that the little text box in the bottom right corner is opaque.

For reference I am also attaching my color scheme, to make sure it's not caused by an improper color value. If it is, however, I would appreciate if you could guide me towards which values to change to get the desired behavior.

I also realized that the tabbar in the Dolphin properties window is completely transparent.

This is copied from a different bug report which I accidentally put on the wrong repo before. I attached my color scheme and don't know whether it has any issues, yet there's missing blur despite the blur effect being enabled, as well as the blurred background of the tabbar in Dolphin being the wrong color, but that's likely a color scheme issue which I don't know how to fix. Then the separators are completely opaque as well as the background behind that text in Dolphin above. Same thing there.
