Description

@OliverHasle

Describe your use case
A radio communication "link-budget" shall be implemented, allowing to estimate the signal strength of satellite <--> ground communication.|

Describe alternatives solutions you've considered
N/A

Additional context
The link budget calculation shall be implemented in the following way:

  • The satellite antenna (and potential future expansion (e.g. RFSoC) shall be implemented in a new module "antenna":
  • The module: "spaceToGroundTrasmitter" has to interface with "antenna" and the baud rate shall throttleable (only if the current functionality of this module is not affected).
  • The module "antenna" shall interface with the BSK module "Battery" (higher power demand while sending / receiving).
  • The "antenna" module shall either be attached to "spaceToGroundTransmitter" (send data from space to ground, or on a new module "groundToSpaceTransmitter".
  • "groundToSpaceTransmitter" shall interface with the BSK module "groundLocation" (To Be implemented as a seperate issue).
  • "Antenna" shall contain the spacecraft receiver\transmitter specific parameters:
    -- Power
    -- efficiency
    -- gain
    -- HPBW
    -- center frequency
    -- bandwitdth
    -- receiver system noise temperature
-- carrier to noise (CNF) threshold)
